Car:

• Take the A7 Ulm-Kempten-Füssen motorway.
• Take the Füssen exit.
• It'is only 5 km to Schwangau.

Train:

• Take the train  via Augsburg, Buchloe, and Kaufbeuren to the train station in Füssen. Take a cab to the hotel or take the bus to Schwangau, e.g. bus RVA 78 to the stop Rathaus Schwangau. From there it is only a 3-minute walk to the hotel.

Bicycle:

• Hotel Helmer is located directly on the Lake Constance-Königssee cycle path, you can reach us coming from Füssen if you drive through the village center of Schwangau. If you travel with your bike in the train, you reach the train station Füssen, get on your bike, and are in Schwangau in about 10 minutes.

Airplane:

• The nearest airport is Allgäu Airport Memmingen. More information/flight schedules http://www.allgaeu-airport.de

You receive the Schwangauer guest card at the reception desk upon arrival. It includes many benefits and services for our hotel guests.

• With this card you can use public transportation free of charge and as often as you like.
• Reduced entrance fees with the guest card, e.g. at the Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles, at the Museum of the Bavarian Kings, and at the Kristall Therme Schwangau.

• Guest program of the tourist information Schwangau

• The train from Füssen to Kaufbeuren and back is also included.

The nearest bus stop is located at the Tourist Information, only about 150 m from our hotel. So your car can take a vacation in our protected parking lot and you arrive at the excursion destinations without driving or parking stress.
